For those of you who recently applied for fall 2023, or are completing your applications, we wanted to give you a sense of what to expect after the January 6 deadline.

First of all, if there are pieces of your application that haven’t arrived after the 6th—a letter of reference, or a transcript—we will reach out to let you know starting in mid-January.

Then we’ll begin to invite select applicants for interviews for both the MA and the PhD programs at the end of January. PhD interviews will be the week of February 6. MA interviews will be the week of February 13. All interviews will be on Zoom this year. If you do wish to visit BGC during this time (and we’d encourage you to do so!), we’d recommend signing up for a spring tour, or you can make an appointment for another time by writing to admissions.

Admission decisions will be made by March 1 (estimated) and notifications will be posted to your application portal. Financial aid information will follow that by about a week. We will hold an accepted students day here at BGC in mid-March, and your enrollment decision should be made by April 15.
