About Connecting Threads

The purpose of this project is to invite LaGuardia students to learn about and conduct material culture analysis as part of classroom learning, and to create a digital exhibition as part of this process. The intention is to utilize the Bard Graduate Center’s teaching, curatorial, and digital humanities expertise, as well as that of the LaGuardia Wagner Archives, to provide an opportunity for student-led experiential learning. The project is co-curricular, involving students from two separate honors courses at LaGuardia – Professor Filip Stabrowski’s Fall Honors Cultural Anthropology, and Professor Liena Vayzman’s Spring Honors Art & Society course.
