While the buildings at West 86^th Street are closed, and all events through the end of June have been canceled, BGC is very much alive, with a vibrant virtual presence and plans underway to create programming online. Call for Submissions: One More Thing
BGC is starting a series called “One More Thing” to help us all connect as a community. The general idea is for one person to talk about one object for one minute on video. This is a kind of mashup of Neil MacGregor’s History of the World in 100 Objects and the old Bicentennial Minute. One video per day will be posted on social media and the BGC website for as long as possible during the closure. Here are three sample videos to guide your thinking: Peter Miller, Jesse Merandy, Madeline Warner.

The project is open to all BGC faculty, staff, students, fellows, alums, and teen scholars. If you are interested in contributing a video, please fill out this Google Form. You will receive a follow-up email shortly after with the specific guidelines. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to Laura Minsky at laura.minsky@bgc.bard.edu.
