As we close out another remarkable year at Bard Graduate Center, I wanted to thank you for being part of our public programs community.
This year, BGC welcomed audiences into conversations that ranged widely across the decorative arts, design history, fashion, architecture, craft, film, preservation, and material culture. Together, we explored Gothic imagination through Viollet-le-Duc Drawing Worlds, celebrated the famed french porcelain manufacturer Sèvres Extraordinaire!, hosted artists, curators, scholars, designers, collectors, and makers, and created spaces where ideas could move fluidly between scholarship and public life.
What continues to inspire us most is the variety of people who gather here: longtime experts sitting beside curious newcomers, students beside collectors, architects beside artists. In a cultural moment increasingly shaped by speed and distraction, BGC remains committed to thoughtful, in-person engagement with objects, ideas, and one another.
Our programs: lectures, tours, conversations, workshops, salons, and gallery events, are only possible because of supporters who believe this kind of cultural space matters.
As we look ahead to another year at BGC, I hope you’ll consider making a gift in support of BGC’s public programs and exhibitions. Your support helps us continue creating ambitious, intellectually adventurous programming that remains accessible, welcoming, and deeply interdisciplinary.

Thank you again for being part of this community and for helping sustain this work.
Warmly,
Lindsay
