Kids Drawing Tour!
Saturday, May 16, 11 am–12 pm
Bard Graduate Center Gallery
18 West 86th Street
Calling all creative kids, ages 8–12! Come to BGC Gallery and explore how you can use drawings to understand and transform your world. Learn about the world of Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc, the architect responsible for the 19th-century renovation of Notre-Dame de Paris, whose drawings helped restore the cathedral after the 2019 fire.
The drawing tour includes three close-looking and drawing exercises, all inspired by Viollet-le-Duc’s detailed and imaginative drawings of castles, cathedrals, mountains, and monuments.
After the drawing tour, stay and explore the exhibition, Viollet-le-Duc Drawing Worlds, described by the Wall Street Journal as “an embarrassment of riches.”
Caregivers and guardians are invited to observe, explore the galleries on their own, or join a tour for caregivers.
