Mental Health Resources from Listings Project
Finding a Therapist: You can also find qualified mental healthcare professionals who accept your insurance or practice on a sliding scale basis through Psychology Today, Alma or Headway. Nearly all mental healthcare professionals are now operating remotely. Remote therapy sessions and text-based therapy are also available through Talkspace.
Confronting an Acute Crisis: If you are experiencing an acute crisis text HOME to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor. If you or someone you know are experiencing suicidal ideation or are at risk for suicide call the National Suicide Hotline to get immediate help. If you are experiencing domestic violence or feel unsafe at home call the National Domestic Violence Hotline. For Queer folks, the Anti-Violence Project is available 24/7 with Spanish and English services. Here is an extensive list of 24/7 national crisis hotlines.
