Stay Connected with Bard Graduate Center!

Although all Bard Graduate Center buildings are closed, and public programs are canceled through June 30, we are excited to launch new online opportunities to stay connected until we can meet again in person.

As a companion to the Eileen Gray exhibition, Bard Graduate Center produced a new film—In Conversation with Eileen Gray—excerpts from which are included in the exhibition. In 1973, Andrew Hodgkinson conducted an interview with Eileen Gray in her Paris apartment. In this previously unknown recording, Hodgkinson and Gray discuss her work while looking at a portfolio she compiled that documents her long and distinguished career. French documentary filmmaker Michael Pitiot directed the film. Cloé Pitiot and Philippe Garner adapted the interview for the film using period images and images taken from Gray’s portfolio.

We are excited to invite you to a special online watch party of In Conversation with Eileen Gray, this Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 1 pm, followed by a conversation with Andrew Hodgkinson and Michael Pitiot.

One More Thing
At Bard Graduate Center, we learn about human history through direct study of objects, from the luxurious to the quotidian. While we are sheltering in place, we have decided to turn our attention to objects close at hand in our new video series, One More Thing, in which one person discusses one object for one minute. Follow our Instagram @bardgradcenter for daily videos, starting April 6. Learn More Button
