This weekend signals the unofficial start of summer and the beginning of “roadtrip season” for many—perhaps it is your first opportunity to travel, go to the beach, or visit friends and family in a long while. Whether you are on a Vespa, in your Airstream camper, or just on your couch, we wish you a fantastic weekend. If you have some spare time, you can enjoy two short films on the modern design of 20th-century transportation from the 2006 Bard Graduate Center exhibition, American Streamlined Design.

As our academic year comes to an end, all of us at BGC would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us this past year. The commitment and generosity of BGC supporters like you has given our students and faculty the time and space to consider the important “things” in our lives.
