Dear BGC Alumni and Current Students:
We’re excited to invite your participation for the Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion Working Group (DEAI WG) and, as per your recommendation, would like to invite participation from current students and alumni.
If you care about diversity, equity, inclusion, and access and would like to be a part of a group pursuing these values, please fill out this form. The form is a way to gauge serious interest. We will follow up with everyone who signs up.
The basics:
  • The working group is on a volunteer basis and requires a commitment of one to two meetings per month.
  • Currently we have assembled a group of staff, some of whom are alumni, and one PhD student who will be a part of the DEAI WG, we’re looking for one more current student and one more alum.
  • Interest and commitment are the most valuable attributes of an ideal working group member.
  • Working group members are asked to commit to participating for the entirety of the term (one to two years) and are asked to make their best effort to attend all meetings.
  • Meeting will be held from 1:30–3 pm Eastern, likely on Tuesdays.
  • The working group will determine what areas they’d like to focus on. Past areas of focus include: hiring, student recruitment, curriculum, and professional development.
  • Ama Codjoe, BGC’s Consulting Director of Equity and Inclusion, is available to help support and guide the DEAI Working Group.
If you’re interested, please fill out this form by Friday July 2.

Best wishes for a lovely summer,
Ama Codjoe
