Wilhelm Kåge & Shōji Hamada: Ceramics Across Borders will open at the BGC Gallery in March 2027. This exhibition, organized by Nationalmuseum Sweden in partnership with the Nihon Mingeikan (Japan Folk Crafts Museum) and BGC, celebrates two of the foremost ceramists of the twentieth century—one Swedish, the other Japanese. It considers how these two makers forged distinctive paths while in shared pursuit of beauty in the everyday. In this Tuesday Tea, the exhibition’s curatorial and design team will discuss their approach to realizing Ceramics Across Borders at BGC.

Tuesday, October 27, 12:15 pm

38 West 86th Street, Lecture Hall

Tea, coffee, and snacks will be served starting at noon.
No registration required.
