Interested in a career in museums and galleries? Apply for a paid summer internship with the Lab for Teen Thinkers and learn about jobs for people with an interest in the public humanities!

The Lab for Teen Thinkers is a paid public humanities internship that offers teens the unique opportunity to study objects with a variety of scholars, artists, and curators working in the fields of material culture, archaeology, art-oriented research, and digital media. During the four-week summer internship, Teen Thinkers will explore the history and archaeology of Seneca Village, a predominantly African American community in what is now Central Park. Teen Thinkers will research a selected artifact from archaeological excavations of Seneca Village and present their findings to the larger Teen Summer Institute community, influencing how others might learn and think about material culture. Teens who are interested in continuing their college and career readiness can apply for an expanded paid internship at Bard Graduate Center that will meet on select Saturdays during the academic school year.

Summer Internship Dates: July 6–29, 2022
When: Mondays–Fridays from 1–4:30pm
Where: 38 West 86 Street, New York, NY
