Dear Educators,

As spring approaches, we hope you’ll consider a visit to Bard Graduate Center Gallery!

We invite you and your students to explore the rich culture of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw (pronounced: KWOKwok-ya-wokw) people of British Columbia and see up-close ceremonial objects and archival videos of potlatch ceremonies in The Story Box: Franz Boas, George Hunt and the Making of Anthropology. Click here to download a PDF of the Educator Guide.

We also have two additional shows on view: Jan Tschichold and the New Typography: Graphic Design Between the World Wars, and A View From the Jeweler’s Bench: Ancient Treasures, Contemporary Statements.

We are currently accepting reservations (March 5 – June 25) and encourage you to schedule your visit before all spaces are filled. Book now by calling 212.501.3013 or email tours@bgc.bard.edu. For more information visit Gallery Education and Programs.

You can also join the community of learners engaging with material culture! Our spring course for the general public is a look at some key moments in the history of graphic design. Bard Graduate Center’s public education course, Highlights in the History of Graphic Design is a five-week course taught by our world-renowned faculty and alumni.
