Dear Friends,
Greetings from Bard Graduate Center! We have had an exciting year filled with valuable research, highly regarded exhibitions, and thought-provoking public programs. We are delighted that so many of you were able to join us and we hope you will continue to participate in the coming year.
As we approach the close of 2022, we would like to take this opportunity to ask you to consider a charitable contribution to BGC. Your gift will support the next generation of scholars, research initiatives, exhibitions, and public programs. BGC thrives due in large part to the generosity of donors like you. Your support throughout the challenges of the last two years has been critical to the institution and our students.
A gift in any amount is welcome and will benefit BGC immensely as we look forward to the New Year. In February, BGC will present two Focus Project exhibitions: Staging the Table in Europe 1500–1800, and Shaped by the Loom: Weaving Worlds in the American Southwest.
Staging the Table will present the early modern domestic food-ways, as an exciting environment filled with displays of wealth and highly refined performance. The exhibition will shed light on the social and commercial networks that enabled this trans-national culture. Shaped by the Loom will be the first exhibition to showcase the American Museum of Natural History’s collection of Indigenous textiles from the greater American Southwest. Approximately 20 items from this historic collection, acquired more than a century ago, will be shown alongside works by contemporary weavers and multimedia artists.
You can donate securely online HERE. Gifts by check may be sent to Bard Graduate Center, Development Office, P.O. Box 490, New York, NY 10024. Contributions from donor-advised funds, retirement accounts, or appreciated stock are also welcome. Please contact Benjamin Krevolin at 212.501.3072 or Minna Lee at 212.501.3038 for more information.
We are grateful for your support!
Best wishes to you this holiday season.
