Thank you for being part of Viollet-le-Duc Drawing Worlds.

What began as an ambitious scholarly exhibition became something much larger: a space for conversation, curiosity, imagination, and rediscovery. Over the course of the exhibition, we welcomed architects, artists, students, collectors, designers, preservationists, and first-time visitors into the galleries to encounter Viollet-le-Duc’s extraordinary vision together.

At a moment when cultural spaces can feel increasingly distracted, we remain proud of BGC’s role as a place for slow looking, serious inquiry, and public engagement with ideas through objects, drawings, and design. The response to the exhibition, from intimate tours and conversations to major critical attention, reminded us how much people still hunger for unique cultural experiences and scholarship made public.

Your presence helped make that possible.

On the final day of our fiscal year, we look ahead to a new season of exhibitions and programs, I hope you’ll consider supporting BGC’s exhibitions, publications, and gallery initiatives.

Gifts of all sizes help us continue producing exhibitions, catalogues, lectures, and gatherings that bring new audiences and longtime friends into conversation with the decorative arts, design history, and material culture.

Thank you again for being part of this community and for helping sustain this work

Warmly,

Lindsay Smilow
Chief Advancement Officer
