Sonia Delaunay: Living Art
Member Preview and Opening Night Celebration
February 22, 6–8:30 PM

Exploring the materiality, making, and marketing of Sonia Delaunay’s work, Sonia Delaunay: Living Art traces a lifetime of creative expression and presents an innovator who transcended conventional artistic boundaries and devotedly lived her art. Sonia Delaunay (1885–1979) was one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Living Art comprises almost two hundred objects secured from major international lenders, reflecting Delaunay’s kaleidoscopic output through all periods of her career from the early Parisian avant-garde of the 1910s to the spirited 1970s.
