Dear *|FNAME|*,

We hope you have been enjoying the benefits of your BGC membership. Our engaging programming continues throughout the year, and we hope you’ll renew—or even upgrade—your membership today to continue receiving exclusive access to BGC experiences, events, and special gifts.

As a BGC member, you can continue your journey of lifelong learning by joining us for upcoming lectures that highlight the work of BGC’s exceptional faculty in the field of decorative arts, design history, and material culture, including:

  • Irish Fever, a lecture on October 30 at 6 pm by BGC professor Meredith Linn that will explore the impact of the Irish Potato Famine on Irish immigrants in New York City, specifically how prejudice, disease, and injury shaped their lives.
  • Thoreau’s Sounds, a lecture on November 6 at 6 pm by BGC professor Ivan Gaskell. In this talk, which marks the publication of his new book—Mindprints: Thoreau’s Material Worlds—Gaskell will explore how Thoreau articulated his place within his worlds through an aesthetic understanding of the environment and everyday life.

Don’t miss out on what’s in store at BGC!

Thank you for being a part of the BGC community.

Sincerely,

Molly Fagan
Manager of Individual Giving
