MATERIAL WORLD
Come curious. Stay late.
Friends of BGC, come as our guests… and bring your friends.
Join us for a wonderfully weird evening of cocktails, light bites, dancing, and good company—where THINGS matter.
Step into Material World, a new annual celebration bringing artists, designers, collectors, scholars, and the culturally curious together at Bard Graduate Center. We’d love to welcome you and your friends to help launch this new tradition.
Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 7–11 pm
Bard Graduate Center
38 West 86th Street, New York City
Our invitation to you: complimentary admission.
While tickets on our public event page are listed at $125, please use the special registration page to reserve complimentary tickets for yourself and your friends.
With creative direction by internationally acclaimed artist Richard Tuttle, BGC will transform into an immersive world inspired by Goddesses in the Machine: Fashion in American Silent Film.
Discover playful encounters with objects, step into a fantastical photo booth, and find yourself in unexpected company. Explore the BGC Gallery after hours and dance to music by DJ Holly T.
What will you wear?
Richard Tuttle’s invitation is simple: wear your favorite accessory. A treasured necklace? An extraordinary hat? Something with a story? Silver-screen sparkle and goddess-inspired glamour are encouraged.
Bring your curiosity, bring your friends, and join us for an evening that’s a little unexpected and very BGC.
