Materials Days: Textile Arts Center

The second Materials Days this spring will be indigo dyeing at Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn. In this workshop, students will learn the basics of creating an all organic indigo dye vat and how to dye with it. There will be a second session offered on Thursday, April 6.

DH/DX Action Lab! Make Your Own 360 Object Photograph

360 photography can be a powerful and engaging tool for object studies online. Often used to showcase commercial products, these interactive images present an opportunity for your site visitors to explore all sides of an object and discover three-dimensional features not captured in a static image. In this Action Lab, you’ll learn how to set up a lightbox and turntable, photograph an object, and then export and embed the image as an interactive feature on a website. Led by the DH/DX team.
