Our second spring Materials Days with be two different workshops focused on printmaking and book arts!

The first, on Saturday, April 18 will be a Poster workshop at the Arm, a small print studio in Brooklyn. Each participant will have the opportunity to set and print their own single poster design, in an edition of 10, creating a personalized wood type poster design on color gradient backgrounds.

The second, on Saturday, April 25 will be at BGC, led by Julie Fuller, Manager of Digital Humanities and Education. Students will learn printmaking techniques, explore ex libris design, and use a 3D-printed press to produce their own bookplates. Participants will go home with a set of personalized ex libris to adorn their book collection along with the plates for printing additional copies.

To RSVP please email julia.cullen@bgc.bard.edu. Students are welcome to sign up for both sessions, if they can make it, or choose one. Please indicate the order of your preferences in your email.
