Delivering an Effective Academic Presentation

This workshop will walk you through some tips for preparing and delivering an effective academic presentation, with opportunities for presentation coaching. We will explore structure, storytelling, pacing and vocal delivery, use of media, and technical preparations (for both in-person and online presentations).

As part of the workshop, two participants will be invited deliver part of an upcoming talk (a conference paper, the first 10 minutes or shorter). We will work together to provide comments and suggestions. If you’d like to present part of a paper, please let us know when you RSVP (first come, first served). Led by Professor Freyja Hartzell and Andrew Kircher, Director of Public Humanities + Research.
