Dear Friends,
Please help us spread the word about our fascinating summer program on design through the lens of utopia to the undergrads in your life! It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend two weeks in the city and earn college credit, with housing in our Columbus Circle residence. Applications are due May 1.
Bard Graduate Center professor Freyja Hartzell will lead the course entitled, Designing Utopia. Participants will examine the history of modern and contemporary design in North America and Europe, from the nineteenth century through today, as a series of utopian projects–designs that changed the way we experience the world, one another, and ourselves. Morning seminars at our Upper West Side location will be followed by afternoon field trips or workshops around New York City.
Please forward this message to the potential students in your life, and if you haven’t yet made it to BGC’s current exhibitions or events, we hope to see you on 86th Street soon.
