The first spring semester Materials Days will be a tintype demo at the Penumbra Foundation. This workshop will cover a tour of their facilities, including library, dark rooms, and studios, a brief lecture on the history of photography, and a demonstration in making a tintype photograph. There will be two workshop dates: Thursday, February 2 and Thursday, February 16, both from 10:30 am–12:30 pm. The first date is held for students in 877. Picturing Things with limited spots for other students. There are more spots February 16. Please email julia.cullen@bgc.bard.edu with any questions.
