Materials Days are a series of events held throughout the year to give BGC students hands-on learning experiences led by makers. The first one will be a glass blowing workshop at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn. Under the guidance of instructors, students will have the opportunity to create one small object, such as a paperweight or cup, using different colors and decorating techniques.

We have arranged two workshops at UrbanGlass—Sunday, October 29, 1 to 4 pm and Saturday, November 11, 1 to 4 pm. Each student should choose one session; it is not a two-part workshop.

Please RSVP to julia.cullen@bgc.bard.edu by Friday, October 13, stating your first choice in date to attend or if you have no preference. Once we hear from everyone, final groups will be announced. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
