Materials Days are a series of events held throughout the year to give you hands-on learning experiences led by makers. The next one will be papermaking at Dieu Donné in Brooklyn on Friday, December 6, from 1-2:30. This workshop will cover a tour of their facility, a brief history of the craft, and hands-on papermaking. You will learn how to pull sheets of paper, as well as creative techniques such as painting with pulp, embedding materials into paper, and using stencils.
