For those of you who have recently applied for fall 2024, or are completing your applications, here’s what to expect after the January 5 deadline:

First, if there are pieces of your application that haven’t arrived after the 5th—a letter of reference or a transcript, for example—we will reach out to you soon after the deadline and you will have time to follow up as needed.

By the end of January we will invite select applicants for interviews for the MA and the PhD programs. PhD interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of February 5. MA interviews are scheduled for the following week. All interviews will be on Zoom this year. If you do wish to visit BGC during this time (and we’d encourage you to do so!), we recommend signing up for a spring tour or making an appointment for another time by writing to admissions.

Admission decisions will be made by March 1 (estimated) and notifications will be posted to your application portal. Financial aid information will follow about a week later. We will hold an accepted students’ day here at BGC in mid-March, and your enrollment decision should be made by April 15.
