Michelle Millar Fisher
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Curating In and Out of Institutions
“While I have worked inside many institutions (the Guggenheim, the Met, MoMA, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and now the MFA Boston), the work I have done outside of museums has often been the most meaningful. In this talk, I will share some of my experiences working collaboratively on projects like the Salary Transparency Spreadsheet, museum unionizing, and co-creating a project called Designing Motherhood. Students will be invited to share their thoughts on the ethics and ideas around which they feel personally and professionally motivated to act within the overlapping fields of design history, academia, and museums.”
